The Westinghouse Solar Utility light is perfect for remote locations such as a barn or shed that do not have electricity. The remote solar panel charges in the sun during the day and is connected to the fixture by a 10 foot cord. A remote is included for easy activation.
Nice product except for the mounting bracketReviewed by D. HUBER, 2010-01-11
I purchased 4 of these lights through the Sams Club Auction web site. The lights produce great light. However, I broke one mounting bracket removing it from its plastic wrapping and broke another trying to adjust it into the proper position. I ended up mounting without the brackets.
Bright but won't stay onReviewed by Tom, 2009-08-10
This light is very bright but I can't seem to keep it on more than 15-30 minutes before it automatically shuts off. I'm able to turn it on again after a brief time but then it shuts off again at the same interval. No mention of an auto-off feature in the sparse documentation.
Great Product and easy to useReviewed by E. Profitt, 2009-07-20
Westinghouse Solar Utility Light
Awesome product, easy to install and is much brighter than I
expected. Though I think Sam's Club has a much better price.
Westinghouse Solar Utility LightReviewed by D. Stein, 2009-01-20
This produces ample light, and I am able to activate the light at a distance of 25 feet. I had given this as a gift but it was returned to me because it would not stay on for more than 1 hour at a time. Since I set this light up its been averaging about 30 minutes before it turns off, this is likely due to few sunny days. The solar panel is in a south facing window, however it would do better if it was outside. This uses a 4 volt battery. The last item to note is the mount for the solar panel, which is made of plastic and has already broken. My opinion is for this light to be practical, I would like it to be able to work for 4 hours at a time.
